thodoris triantafillou & Boot Slap
”Estate Of Trance” EP
Time, space and matter. That is what we dive into when we want to experience inspiring states of consciousness. We forget time and space in a hypnotic whirlwind. It seems to be a necessity to move from our world to another dimension. So we learn more about ourselves and develop into beings of a higher kind. For that we live.
come and go with us on the journey.
NAZA – “GURU”
Here comes the fifth release of Boot Slap's & Thodoris Triantafillou's Label – Perplex! Mexico based producer Naza is offering two more groovy Deep House cuts entitled "Guru" and "Dakan". The Perplex! number fifth is dedicated to the Gurus in us. The ones who dispel the darkness and take us towards the light. And the ones who helps us in our spiritual evolution. It's all about the elements, as they bring everything together like friendship does in this universe. Feel enlightened.
NAZA – “Dimba” w/ Mathias Schober Remixes
Here comes the fourth release of Perplex! Mexican producer Naza is offering two groovy Afro House cuts entitled "Dimba" and "Ayo". The release is supported by two incredibly sleek remixes by one of the best electronic producers of our time - Mathias Schober.
It's all about the elements, as they bring everything together like friendship does in this universe. The Perplex! number four is dedicated to the fire. Fire is associated with strength, activity, blood, and life-force. It is also seen as highly purifying and protective, consuming impurities and driving back the darkness. Feel enlightened.
K.E.E.N.E. – "Sand" w/ Floyd Lavine Remix
Boot Slap, Thodoris Triantafillou and the boys from K.E.E.N.E. – that would be a nice party line up, wouldn't it? But what's even better than that - the guys have decided to come together as a collective, strengthening their bonds and ultimately developing their own unique sound.
It's all about the four elements, as they bring everything together like friendship does in this universe. Water and Air have already been taken care of, now it's time for the element 'Earth', embodied by the banger 'Sand' by K.E.E.N.E. & Gonzo-Gonzo , featuring an intense remix by Floyd Lavine. There was strong cause to give this element to them; Central Americans based in Berlin and as heads of their own label 'Cacao', we knew they would bring this to perfection.
Thodoris Triantafillou – "WE feat. Dekard"
Following it’s relaunch, Perplex!’s second release comes from Greek producer Thodoris Triantafillou this April featuring three moving house cuts entitled ‘WE’.
Launched back in 2008, Boot Slap’s Perplex! has been releasing a solid body of house music for over a decade. Joining the label now is Athens-based producer Thodoris Triantafillou, who has seen a steady flow of releases on labels like Dennis Ferrer and André Hommen’s Objektivity, CJ Jeff’s Rhythmetic, Connaisseur Recordings and his very own Glory Hill Studio.
The release opens with the tantalizing notes of ‘WE (Club Mix)’ as looping synths join enchanting vocals, making way for the Original Mix that reimagines the melodies, complementing the Dekard’s angelic voice whilst generating a compelling groove. Finally, ‘Angels & Demons’ is a more percussive affair as it incorporates rhythmic drums, purring bass and an ethereal voice.
Boot Slap – "Fade Into You" w/ Boronas Remix
Boot Slap, the duo comprised of the highly skilled producers and multi-instrumentalists Christian Witt and Takis Kouretsidis reactivate their Perplex label with a newly minted release. The East meets West pair bring their wide-ranging set of skills to life in the 'Fade Into You' EP, while enlisting the remixer abilities of fellow German DJ and producer Boronas on the B side.
Kicking off with a gradual build up of percussive layers, 'Fade Into You' showcases the producer duo's ability to craft melancholic yet spell-binding atmospheres using an array of elements. The eponymous vocal plays a central part, making for a recognizable loop both in its most natural as well as in a glitched-out alteration.
On the flipside we have Boranos, member of the crew around Wareika and the 'Inner Circle' team. The Hamburg-based artist offers up a drum-heavy reiteration of the original, giving it a late night, cavernous appeal. Using mettalic synths and ghostly vocal reverberations, the remix offers a solid alternative to an already essential track.
